Meet WilMarc Jean
WilMArc and Temwanyaj
Wilmarc Jean was impacted by Jan 2010's earthquake. Rising from the rubble, the victor lost his leg as he emerged from one of the many collapsed buildings. Rather than be discouraged by the turn of events, he was determined to make a difference in his country as well as his community. In 2016 he was a guest on Marenn's show to share his published book titled, Temoignage, as well as his determination to positively impact the lives of others who'd also lost limbs in the quake. Wilmarc and Marenn shared more than similar titled platforms, they shared a goal to pivot how people feel during dark times.. Marenn partnered with Wilmarc to help him meet all of his goals. Going beyond fundraising, she has helped Wilmarc meet contacts to achieve his goals as well as properly develop his business. Today we are happy to see his growth in the community. Featured below are pictures Wilmarc has shared with us of the impact his new found organization, Fonds de Soutien pour les Sans Voix (Foundation of Support for those Without a Voice).
Fonds de Soutien pour les Sans Voix Mission Statement
"Fonds de Soutien pour les Sans Voix is a non-profit organization, created in 2017 whose mission is to improve the living conditions of people on the margins of society, especially those who were victims directly or indirectly of the January 12, 2010 socially, economically, culturally, and educationally.
FONSSV works for the academic and professional training of children from five to x years being part of the community, and to help parents from five to seventeen non-educated years old to find sponsorship in order to afford the tuition fees of their children."
